First VP Set up quarterly in-person meetings at Campbell Community Center, which includes using its website to select a date, meeting with community center contact person, and coordinating with the guild programs’ person. This volunteer will also oversee the board members’ job descriptions. Digital Platforms Chair Are you comfortable with using different tech platforms? As Digital Platforms Chair, you will keep track of the tech platforms we use (Zoom for streaming, Google Workspace for email, file storage, and mailing lists, WildApricot for the website, events and members) and maintain the website, keep our email mailing lists up to date, and help volunteers have access to the right files and email inboxes. This role can be done fully remote and can also be shared across multiple people. Social Media Chair Promote SCVQA meetings, events, and the overall association on social media channels (currently on FB and Instagram). As Social Media Chair, you will independently create the posts (text and visual assets) and post on appropriate schedule. You will also lightly monitor comments and reply/engage where appropriate. This role can be done fully remote and can also be shared across multiple people. Historian Collect photos of quilts from members via email, and be the historian/photographer at all events. In Person Show and Tell Photographer Print and bring a sing up sheet to properly attribute quilts. Take photos of quilts during Show and Tell at in person meetings. Get photos uploaded and sent to the Newsletter Editor and Social Media coordinators. Could take photos of other events if interested, or experiment with videos. Contact Nancy, president@scvqa.org Virtual monthly quilt together host (individual or team) Be able to schedule, start and host a regular monthly Zoom meeting. On an evening or weekend when most members can attend. Contact Nancy, president@scvqa.org. Opportunity Quilt Organizer We have gotten off schedule in the last few years and want to make sure we back on track to make appealing and high quality opportunity quilts. We have one group working on one now. But we need another, so that we can make sure we have them when they are needed, and the groups can alternate with each other on completion dates. JOIN A COMMITTEE
Marin Retreat Co-Coordinator
Assist with contacting Nature Bridge and securing contracts. Update and monitor registration forms. Deliver and monitor physical resources (like ironing boards) to the retreat center. Attend board meetings as needed. We have a long term coordinator who just needs help, you won’t be on your own! Contact Cherese, cherese@currier.name.
Programs Committee Members
