April 10th-12th The Marin Retreat: A Vacation For Your Senses

Registration is now closed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you new to retreats? Ever wondered what goes on at a retreat?
Retreats are a wonderful get-away dedicated to quilting. It is a time to quilt and create, with like minded people.
Marin is just north of the Golden Gate Bridge but feels like it a world away. At the Marin retreat you will enjoy a lovely sewing space with a view of the ocean, wonderful food, and good conversations.
The only formal scheduled activities are the mealtimes, all other activities are optional. The dorms and cafeteria are a gentle 1/4 mile walk from the sewing room. If mobility is an issue you can drive between the two locations. At this retreat you will work on your own projects at your own pace. You can stay up as late as you want to sew or get up early and sew, the choice is yours.
Small groups will sometimes go for a hike around the nearby hills, often to watch the sunset. On Saturday evening we play a game where the winner gets a stack of coordinated 2-1/2 inch strips of fabric. Each retreat the theme for the strips different. We also have a masseuse who offers massages, for an additional fee.
