Membership

Membership in SCVQA is open to anyone interested in quilts and/or quilting.  


SCVQA wants to be a welcoming place for every single quilter. We know everyone's budget looks a little different, and a rigid, one­size­fits­all fee shouldn't stand in the way of learning or friendship. So, starting August 1st 2026,  trying something new and rolling out an Equity Pricing Model for memberships to help us reach and keep more members.

Basically, by offering a few different price points, members experiencing a tight spot can stay fully involved, while those who have a little extra room in their budget can help keep SCVQA thriving. We trust you to pick the level that honestly fits your current budget—no forms, no proof needed, and absolutely no questions asked. All Individual memberships (Regular, Equity, and Pay It Forward) are entitled to the same benefits of membership.

Individual Membership

Individual membership includes:

  • Admission to regular meetings
  • Eligibility to participate in classes, workshops, and other guild activities
  • Subscription to the monthly newsletter delivered via email
  • Access to membership roster
  • Membership in our google group email community

Individual Membership dues are annual.  All individual levels provide the same benefits. Equity is for members who have tighter budgets, and Pay It Forward is for members who can help other members financially.

  • $45 - Equity membership
  • $55 - Regular Membership
  • $65 - Pay It Forward Membership

Membership also includes benefits at the 
San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles:

  • Free admission every Thursday
  • 10% discount on all items in the Gift Shop
  • Invitation to exhibit openings
  • Invitation to curator talks

Affiliate Membership

Business affiliate benefits include:

  • Admission to regular meetings
  • A business listing in our monthly newsletter, membership roster and SCVQA website
  • Invitation to have class schedules on membership table at monthly meetings
  • Free 1/4 page advertisement in one of our monthly newsletters
  • Introduction of your business and services during a member meeting

Affiliate Membership dues are
    $75 - Annual Membership with newsletter delivered via email

Association Name And Photo Consent

Members of the Association and their guests consent to have their name, photos and likenesses of themselves and their work published by SCVQA in association with its work on social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), our web site, press, advertising and in any publications SCVQA may produce from time to time.


Change Of Address or Other Information?

Members are now able to update any of your information directly in our roster. Head over to the Members Only tab, make sure you are logged into the website, and you can change your information.
