In September our speaker will be Sheila Frampton Cooper, an amazing textile artist and quilter. Sheila spent years painting, making jewelry and photography before being bitten by the quilting bug. She has transformed the medium into an exciting exploration of color and design. Since 2021 Sheila has exhibited and won awards at IQA World of Beauty in Houston, the AQS show in Paducah Kentucky, and Road to California. Sheila loves teaching and has brought her passion to her improvisational workshops, sharing her inspirations with her students.
She will be presenting her lecture Color and Inspiration. Sheila finds color fascinating and exciting. Color has the power to shift moods. She will discuss the significance of color, in our lives, the natural world and in art. She will touch on a bit of science, color relationships and explore personal preferences. She uses artists from different mediums to illustrate the power of color.
Sheila’s striking quilts will be an inspiration to everyone, you can see her creations at www.zoombaby.com.
