Anelie Belden is a quilt designer, author, and internationally known sewing instructor with a background in Fashion Design. She began her creative journey sewing garments, which led to a deep love for quilting and a passion for teaching. Anelie is best known for her modern take on the traditional Dresden block, featured in her book Thoroughly Modern Dresden. Her innovative piecing techniques help quilters improve speed and accuracy while exploring fresh, contemporary designs. She’s taught at major quilting events across the U.S., including the Houston Quilt Festival, Empty Spools Seminar, and on Quilt Cruises. Her work has been featured in Quiltmaker’s Magazine and The Art of the Quilt Calendar, and she’s appeared
on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. Anelie also designs seasonal patterns for Island Batik Fabrics, blending vibrant textiles with her signature style.
